What material are the ambia diffusers made of?
Ambia diffusers are made from different materials, depending on the manufacturer. Manning Lighting has partnered with the companies 3form and Lumicor to produce ambia diffusers to our specifications. The 3form material is an "ecoresin" consisting of Spectar* copolyester PETG—a non-toxic, polyester resin that stems from, and is compatible with, the PET family of materials. The Lumicor material is acrylic resin. What are the benefits of ambia diffusers?
Durability, design, and ease of maintenance. The ambia diffusers are very sturdy and will not tear like fabric. They can also be cleaned with a damp cloth. And the wide range of colors, textures, and materials available make ambia just plain fun.
Can I specify ambia products for outdoor use?
No. Though the diffusers are UV stable, the fabrics and other natural elements should not be directly exposed to water.
Are there other colors, fabrics, and patterns available?
Yes! The ambia family has 12 standard choices, but thousands of possibilities are available. To see more, visit www.3-form.com or www.lumicor.com. These companies can make almost any of their products to our specifications for use as ambia diffusers. There are some limitations due to the thickness of some of the materials.
Will ambia diffusers yellow over time?
No. The resins used are UV stable and will remain true to their original color.
Are ambia products UL approved?

How do I clean ambia diffusers?
A damp cloth can be used to clean the diffusers.
How thick are ambia diffusers?
All diffusers are 1/8” thick.
